1. LIFT 2015 (Ladies Improving Fitness Together)

LIFT 2014 (Ladies Improving Fitness Together) is designed to help women with a common goal learn to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

2. Purple Power 2015: Women Under Construction

The purpose of this Seminar is to explore womanhood and facilitate the members and friends of the Black Female Development Circle, Inc. through the process of personal development by utilizing the mission and purpose of our great organization. This year, we are also partnering with our National Philanthropy “Yes, I Am All That!”: Promoting Positive Self Esteem in an attempt to mentor high school students in the Central Florida area through campus tours and workshops geared specifically towards them!


3. Beauty (We)Defined Inside & Out: An Experience in Beauty

In a world where we don't see enough images of black women being beautiful, loving themselves and taking care of themselves, Beauty (We)Defined seeks to produce these images and facilitate conversations about how we love ourselves, take care of ourselves and know that we are beautiful! Join us for a day of yoga, inspiring talks, interactive small groups, good food, manis, pedis, massages, give aways and SWAG!


4. Black Women Speak Rally

The Black Women Speak Rally is an event geared towards community building and providing useful resources for black women and allies. The event is specifically centered around the empowerment of black women. The goal is to begin rebuilding self esteem and start the process of healing through empowerment. Inspiration through the art of local black women artists and group discussion. BSWR will explore the black women's experience here in the United States creating a safe space for her voice to be heard.


5. National Coalition 100 Black Women Interest Group - Meet and Greet Dinner

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NCBW) is a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of African American women, girls and the community at large. NCBW has over 60 chapters in 25 states and the District of Columbia with over 6,000 members.

8. Beginner's Yoga Workshop

This workshop is intended to introduce the beginner yogi into asanas and pranayamas. This workshop is 'cOM'munity basd and yogis are encouraged to bring a family member or friend for 50% off of their admission.

We practice Hatha yoga, Hatha yoga is a low-impact exercise for the body and mind. This practice combines different "Asanas" or postures with a deep breathing technique called "Pranayama" to promote flexibility, balance and relaxation.

With focus on proper alignment and anatomy, Hatha practice is an excellent way for beginners to get comfortable with yoga.
