Ballerina Misty Copeland to Produce Dance Drama for Fox

The reemergence of Black TV continues. According to Deadline, Misty Copeland will team with writer Tracey Oliver (who you might remember as Nina, the loathsome co-worker, on The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl) to develop a dance drama for Fox. The yet-to-be-named project "follows a young, hip and diverse group of aspiring dancers as they fiercely compete for places in a top ballet company"

This comes on the heels of the announcement that Nicki Minaj will executive produce a comedy based on her life for ABC Family.
