Issa Rae's comedy, "Insecure," has gotten a full series order from HBO. The pilot, written by Rae and Larry Wilmore, was directed by Melina Matsoukas.
The show continues themes from Rae's highly successful webseries, The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl. Deadline reports, "Insecure follows the friendship of two modern-day black women, Issa (Rae) and Molly (Yvonne Orji), and all of their uncomfortable experiences and racy tribulations."
