Raven-Symoné: "My Comments About Discrimination Have Spun Out of Control"


During a segment on "The View" in which co-hosts discussed a new study finding that Americans make racist assumptions based on names, Raven-Symoné admitted that she would discriminate against someone with a "ghetto" sounding name.

Since her comment, Raven has rightfully received criticism for perpetuating white supremacy as a Black woman with a very Black name.

Yesterday Raven took to Facebook to "clarify" her comment. While she did't apologize for what she said, she says it was "in poor taste" and "uncalled for." She also asserts that as an equal opportunity employer, she has never discriminated against a name.
