Vote for Janet Jackson and Chaka Khan to be Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame


Janet Jackson and Chaka Khan are among the artists nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Class of 2016, RollingStone reports.

The artist who receive the most votes will be announced in December and inducted into the Hall of Fame in New York next April in a ceremony to be broadcasted by HBO.
According to RollingStone, "The public will have the opportunity to vote alongside the more than 800 artists, historians and music industry insiders of the Rock Hall voting body. From now until December 9th, fans can vote on RollingStone.com for the nominees they'd like to see inducted. The top five acts will comprise a "fan's ballot" that will count as one of the ballots that determine the class of 2016."

The full list of nominees includes Chicago, Cheap Trick, Deep Purple, the Cars, Janet Jackson, N.W.A, Nine Inch Nails, the Smiths, Yes, Chaka Khan, Chic, The J.B.'s, Los Lobos, Steve Miller and the Spinners.

Some of the nominees have appeared on previous ballots, however this is both Janet Jackson's and Chaka Khan's first appearance. Be sure to cast your ballots on RollingStone.com.
