Yesterday, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, the president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, released an official statement on the steps with academy will take to insure there is more diversity among the Oscar nominees in the future.
"I am both heartbroken and frustrated about the lack of inclusion," she writes. Isaacs states that the Academy has tried to diversify it's membership. "But change isn't coming as fast as we would like."
