TMZ reports today that Natalie Cole passed away in Los Angeles.
Cole, who was 65 at the time her death, first came to prominence performing with her father, Nat King Cole. She went on to release an award-winning virtual duet with him, "Unforgettable," in 1991.
Cole has recently cancelled several tour dates in late December including a New Year's Eve concert in L.A.
Natalie survives one son, Robert Yancy, who is 38.
Reverend Jesse Jackson has offered his condolences.
