Yara Shahidi Will Attend Harvard University

Black-ish star Yara Shahidi is not only a phenomenal talent but, apparently, she's an exceptional student.

She told the world in April that every school she applied to accepted her, and now she's made up her mind about where she will attend. Yara is headed to Harvard.

Her pick was made public on Twitter and Instagram.

Shahidi famously got a recommendation from Michelle Obama, but the TV star won't be classmates with Malia this fall. She told People Magazine that she plans to take a year off.
“I’ve been working more than half of my life and that’s always been balanced with school and all of the other responsibilities, so to have a year to focus on work and to focus on specified interests will be nice before I pick a career and choose what I want to study and my life path.”

She's set to star in a Black-ish spinoff on Freeform.
