Serena Williams Wins Her 20th Grand Slam Title at the French Open

Earlier this week, Serena Williams was not feeling 100% due to a bout with the flu. Despite the illness, she beat Lucie Safarova to win the French Open today and earn her 20th Grand Slam title.

Williams now has three French Open trophies to put on her shelf along with her other six from the U.S. Open, other six from Australian Open, and five more from Wimbledon.

This was a tough game for Williams, who double-faulted 11 times. But she kept pushing harder. At the end of the match, which lasted two hours, Williams dropped her racket, threw her head back and lifted her arms into a "V." The final score was 6-3 6-7 (2), 6-2.

Williams is already thinking about her next possible win. “Twenty is pretty amazing to me, unfortunately, I'm thinking about Wimbledon,” she said. “I know it's bad, it's bad. But, I'm going to enjoy this moment, I hope.”
