Toronto Principal Tells Eighth-Grader Her Hair is Office 'Too Poofy' and 'Unprofessional'

An eighth grader in Toronto, Canada was sent to the principal's office last week because her hair was "too poofy," a post to her aunts Facebook page says.

According to the student's aunt, Kaysie Quansah, once in the office, the principal told the student " to put her hair up, gave her a hair band... and repeatedly told her to do something about her hair." The principle then called the young girl's hair "too poofy," "unprofessional," and said that "no one would hire her with hair like that."
I wake up this morning to my sister telling me that my wonderful, beautiful niece was told that she needs to change her...

"I didn’t see what the big deal was about my hair because it wasn’t bothering anybody,” the young girl told City News. “I was just doing my work, so I didn’t see why I had to be pulled out of the class.”
