Rihanna's Songs Have Spent As Much Time at Number One As the Beatles

Rihanna's surprise release of latest album, "Anti," and it's first single, "Work," could have ended badly. But the Bajan popstar had an immediate hit on her hands. Work is entering it's 8th week atop the Billboard Hot 100.

This is her 14th number one song. In total, her hits have spent 59 weeks in the top spot. That's as long as The Beatles. The only artist in history to have spent more time at number one is Mariah Carey, who has spent 79 weeks at number one with her many number one singles.
Rihanna is only 28. She's almost certainly got more number one hits in store. It's reasonable to assume that in the next couple of years, Rih will take the top spot.
