This year has already been a notable one for Black film, but it's not over yet. Tomorrow many of the most progressive voices in Black film are uniting to share their message via Twitter. A wide range of cinema talents including actors, directors and producers will discuss the importance of the medium and telling our stories.
The African American Film Releasing Movement aka AFFRM will host a 9 hour Rebel-a-thon on December 20, 2013. Participants include Ryan Coogler ("Fruitvale Station"), Julie Dash ("Daughters of the Dust") and Ava DuVernay ("Middle of Nowhere").
The forum will take place at AFFRM's Twitter page, so log on with the hashtag #affrmrebels and join the conversation.
