Toni Braxton to Play Darlene Love in OWN Biopic

This year's Academy Award winner for best documentary was 20 Feet from Stardom. The film traces the stories of some of the most esteemed background singers in music including Darlene Love.




Love's career began in the 1960s when she was the voice behind many of superproducer Phil Spector's biggest hits. Though you may not recognize the name because Spector often used her voice without crediting her.

“My Name is Love: The Darlene Love Story” is set for a December premiere on OWN.
