Scandal star Kerry Washington will portray Anita Hill during the infamous confirmation hearings of Clarence Thomas in the upcoming HBO film Confirmation.
Hill became a household name in 1991, when she accused U.S. Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas, her supervisor at the U.S. Department of Education and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, of sexual harassment.
Confirmation will center on the explosive allegations and subsequent Clarence Thomas-Hill Supreme Court nomination hearings.
Oscar-nominated screenwriter Susannah Grant will pen the script.
