When Gabrielle Douglas had to take 2 1/2 years away from the highest level of gymnastic to tend to injuries, her future seemed uncertain. But she was adamant that she would make a return.
Gabby was right.
At this year's American Cup, she clenched the all-around title, just as she did four years ago. This was an important win for Gabby as we get closer to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
“I feel like my mental game is more there, and I feel more strong and more aggressive,” she told NBC Sports.
