Black women's bodies are continually under siege. Our best chance for happiness and wholeness lies in celebrating ourselves whenever we get the chance. Beyond Classically Beautiful heeds the call with a gorgeous photo series that features women of many sizes and shapes reflecting on their love for their bodies.
"Body Noire" features black-and-white portraits and short interviews with a handful of women. They talk about what they love about themselves without shame or limits. Roseline Lawrence, one of the shoot's participants said, "The most amazing thing about my body is everything. It’s me."
