Amandla Stenberg to Star in New Romantic Drama "Everything Everything"

Amandla Stenberg (best known for her role as Rue in Hunger Games)  will star in Everything Everything, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film is based on a Young Adult novel by Nicola Yoon. The book debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times Young Adult best-seller list.



Stenberg will play Maddy, a teen who has severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), a rare disease that causes her to be allergic to practically everything. Maddy has spent her first 17 years in her home, only seeing her mother and her nurse. But when a boy named Olly, played by Nick Robinson, moves in next door, Maddy begins to fall in love.

The film is slated to begin production in September.

Stenberg is also set to star in The Hate U Give, a film that tackles police brutality and #BlackLivesMatter.
