Beyoncé has been pretty quiet for the past few months. The superstar hit the campaign for Hillary Clinton in the weeks before the presidential election, but we haven't heard much from her since.
Today, she revealed why. The singer, 35, is pregnant with twins.
She announced the forthcoming additions to her family on Instagram with a belly-caressing shot.
The post reads:
"We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters."
Beyoncé married husband Jay-Z (neé Shawn Carter) in 2008. The two have a five-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.
The couple have had difficulties with conception in the past. Beyoncé opened up about a miscarriage she suffered in the 2013 documentary Life is But A Dream, calling it "the saddest thing I've ever been through."
